【摘要】:Thistestmethodisdesignedtoproducethrough-thicknessfailuredataforstructuraldesignandanalysis,qualityassurance,andresearchanddevelopment.Factorsthatinfluencethethrough-thicknesstensilestrength,andshouldthereforebereported,includethefollowing:materialandfabricreinforcement,methodsofmaterialandfabricpreparation,methodsofprocessingandspecimenfabrication,specimenstackingsequence,specimenconditioning,environmentoftesting,specimenalignment,speedoftesting,timeattemperature,voidcontent,andvolumereinforcementcontent.1.1Thistestmethoddeterminesthethrough-thickness"flatwise"tensionstrengthandelasticmodulusoffiberreinforcedpolymermatrixcompositematerials.Atensileforceisappliednormaltotheplaneofthecompositelaminateusingadhesivelybondedthickmetalend-tabs.Thecompositematerialformsarelimitedtocontinuous-fiberordiscontinuousfiber(tapeor2-dimensionalfabric,orboth)reinforcedcomposites.1.2Thethrough-thicknessstrengthresultsusingthistestmethodwillingeneralnotbecomparabletoTestMethodD6415sincethismethodsubjectsarelativelylargevolumeofmaterialtoanalmostuniformstressfieldwhileTestMethodD6415subjectsasmallvolumeofmaterialtoanon-uniformstressfield.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyproblems,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.1.4ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Withinthetext,theinch-poundunitsareshowninbrackets.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemarenotexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemmustbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnonconformancewiththestandard.
